Proof of Concept Rig

After finishing my 5m^2 lifter kite, it was time to put its payload to the test.

Simple first concept: $5 Camera taped to stabalization stick, actuated via 100' fishing line

Second concept: $5 camera taped to stabilization stick, actuated via cordless phone

Shortly after taking the last image from 200ft, the main kite line broke sending the camera and cordless phone plumetting. 

After reattaching components jettisoned upon impact, everything worked fine.
