Machining of Luminometer Components

A lab at the Umass Biology Department needed some custom components to convert an existing instrument for high throughput applications. Pictured above is one of four turntables that indexes cell cultures over a photomultiplier tube (to take fluoresence measurements).

The sample turntable was a rather interesting component to machine, requiring a number of boring and turning operations.
